Spring is Coming
Submitted by Chris Frazier on 21 February 2007 - 11:24am.There's been a lot of really heavy stuff in the blogs lately, so I thought I'd lighten the mood a little and talk about gardens. I start seeds in the house the first of March. I have flowers in the front of my house, and veggies in the back. There wasn't much in the yard when I moved in. Now I always have something blooming, from the early crocus to the last of the hollyhocks and chrysanthemums. The hollyhocks are fun because they cross-pollinate and reseed easily, so there are always new colors. Dianthus and other flowers attract butterflies.
The Stand
Submitted by Chris Frazier on 28 January 2007 - 10:15am.I just finished watching The Stand by Stephen King again. If you haven't seen it, rent it. It's long (it was made as a TV miniseries) but well worth it.
It's the classic battle between good and evil. That's the way I see the Green Party. We're a small group making a stand against the New World Order, which is worldwide fascism. The definition of fascism is rule by corporations, above the government and above the law. And that is what we are living with today, although they try to hide it.
Rehberg in the Basement
Submitted by Chris Frazier on 25 January 2007 - 4:41pm.I received an email from a friend today, and it said, among other things:
"Rehberg is now a victim of the new power shift. He lost his conference room and is in a small office in the basement. Just another riches-to-rags story."
I can't think of anyone more in need of a lesson in humility. He always struck me as a very arrogant Republican, who thinks he'e better than everybody else because of his money. Maybe there's some justice in the world after all.
