Rick Gold has questions about Japan's Nuclear Crisis
Submitted by kuhlwlf on 8 April 2011 - 11:24am. Japan | Nuclear Power | Radioactive WasteNuclear News for Today: "Japanese Nuclear Plant Starts Pumping Millions of Gallons of Radioactive Water Into Pacific."
Some questions to ponder ...How much and of what kind of Nuclear Waste is present in the water? How far will it go in the Ocean currents? How long will it last in the food chain? And, when these millions of gallons are released and millions more replace them and will be released again, what Nuclear Waste will be carried into the ocean then?

Medical Marijuana, TEA Parties, and ALEC
I thought I'd seen and heard it all from the "conservative," TEA, "right to lifers" of Montana, but the testimony supporting HB 161 to repeal Montana's medical marijuana law defies belief.

Blair Mountain | Massey Energy | Pat Lamarche | TalibenPat Lamarche, the Green Party candidate for VP in the 2004 presidential election, remembers the world outrage when the Taliban exploded priceless centuries-old Bamiyan Buddhas that had been carved into the side of a mountain in Afghanistan. Now Massey Energy plans to blow up one of the most historically and spiritually significant places in the United States, where 10,000 Americans stood together and were bombed by an earlier incarnation of corporate greed.
to be independent is to question the message
Submitted by kuhlwlf on 14 January 2011 - 8:36pm.When are at least a few people in this country going to figure out that there is more difference between a glass of Miller Lite and a glass of Bud Lite than there is between a Democrat Politician and a Republican Politician?
Money doesn't just rule politicians, it controls the public. All political movements with any punch have major funding from extremely wealthy power brokers. The latest, the TeaBaggers, are a classic example. All the so-called progressive groups have big bucks behind them that -as far as I can tell- comes from vested interests.
Abolish Corporate Personhood
Submitted by kuhlwlf on 15 April 2010 - 11:38pm. Corporate PersonhoodThe history of the United States could be told as the story of who is and who is not a person under law. Women, poor people, slaves, and even corporations had long been considered persons for purposes of following the law. This is because early laws were written "No person shall . . ." Corporate lawyers had tried to avoid these laws by claiming corporations were not persons and therefore not required to follow the law. So it was decided that for purposes of following the law, corporations were persons. This allowed corporations to sue and be sued in court among other things.
