Submitted by Paul Stephens on 12 July 2009 - 3:15pm.On this morning's "Face the State" program, Jay Kohn interviewed Molnar, Kendal Van Dyke (D-Billings legislator) + the manager of Yellowstone Valley Co-op on the pending 'Cap and Trade' legislation. (I looked, but couldn't find any links on the Billings or KRTV websites).

It's time to put a stop to Monsanto

Soon to be up for a vote is a bill that could stop small and local
producers; HR-875 "Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009"
[copy and paste in the links - it's too much work to use the codes which
this drupal system requires - maybe someone knows an easier way to do it?]
There is a U.S House Resolution...HR875...entitled "The Food Safety
Modernization Act"...put forth by Rosa Deloro, a Dem. from CT, whose husband
is Stanley Greenberg, who works with many corporations, including Monsanto,
ON INTELLECTUAL HONESTY - ENDING "THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM OF DENIAL AND BLAME"
Submitted by Paul Stephens on 18 December 2008 - 4:11am. Why we are GreenON INTELLECTUAL HONESTY - ENDING "THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM OF DENIAL AND BLAME"
We can't say it too many times: Democracy requires free, independent, locally-owned and controlled media, including newspapers, TV & radio, and the internet. Without the correct information and free and open discussion of all issues, and free elections (not fueled by lies and corporate money), democracy (not to mention free markets) aren't possible. And so long as we have independent media and free elections, no fraudulent, abusive, exploitative, tyrannical government can ever be established.
Three more good reasons to Dump Baucus in 2008

Baucus continues to shill for the "insurance industry," agribusiness, the oil companies, and gas-guzzling car and truck manufacturers
Missoula and Helena refuse to buy coal-fired power from Great Falls
Submitted by Paul Stephens on 2 September 2007 - 8:35pm. From Montana Green Bulletin Aug 20Interestingly enough, the Tribune and other Great Falls news media had a total blackout on this story. I'll have to ask the MEIC (several of whose staff receive this Bulletin) why the Montana Green Bulletin is no longer on their mailing lists, but it probably has to do with the takeover of CCE by Republicans and other anti-environmentalists. Let me assure Pat Judge et. al. that I am still on their side.
Reports on McKinney and Ball

Is the Green Party ready for a McKinney Campaign?
Dear Greens:
I write this to our Party's leadership to ask whether the Green
Party is ready to serve as a vehicle for a Cynthia McKinney
Presidential bid.
I write this from the road on the way back to Atlanta from
New Orleans Louisiana. I traveled to NOLA with Congresswoman
McKinney to honor her commitment as a Convenor of the Peoples
International Tribunal for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
While there, she was approached by International Delegates

Democrat leaders sacrifice democracy, the Constitution, and the future of the country in their lust for power and spoils, claiming that "Republicans did it first"
If you can't lick 'em, join 'em. That may be a common political maxim, but it would seem to apply just as well to the Democrats as to the Republicans.

Nuclear issue "too philosophical" for Greens?
Submitted by Paul Stephens on 7 March 2007 - 11:32am. Nuclear disarmament is possible! In my continuing discussion with Sam from Missoula (see his blog, where this originally appeared as a comment), he doubts the possibility that any technology has ever been withheld or suppressed. Of course, that is the very reason why many atomic scientists as well as philosphers, statesmen, and even military leaders opposed the first use of any nuclear weapons, and have opposed the nuclear arms race ever since.
