Support Green Party Candidate Cheryl Wolfe in HD 11

Since the 2000 election, Greens have been working to regain some of the momentum and public support from that historic event in American politics.

In Montana a core group of activists have had their hands full simply maintaining the most rudimentary elements of a Green political party. Some great people remained on board, some have moved on, or away from politics altogether. Losses have been replaced with a new group of Greens with new ideas for how to put Montana on a better path than the one we're on.

We know from experience that the system cannot fix itself. In theory, smarter voters should elect better legislators. Better information, and facts, provided to smarter voters, however, hasn't changed many minds. Why is change so difficult? Our brains seem to avoid the discomfort required to process dissonant information that might actually change our minds.

The for-profit, ad-dependent media could help, but won't, or can't.

That leaves it up to you, and me, to move away from the two-party maddness, toward a more promising Green future, a sustainable economy, and a healthier and cleaner environment.

Small things matter. Unexpected benefits come from taking a few moments, or giving a few dollars, to further the purposes of the Montana Green Party.

Cheryl Wolfe is the only Green Party candidate running for election in Montana this year, in HD 11 (Polson). She's working hard to win a first Green seat at the 2011 legislature. I know it would mean a lot to her if you can send support her way. Please give generously.
