Support Green Party Candidate Cheryl Wolfe in HD 11

| | |

Since the 2000 election, Greens have been working to regain some of the momentum and public support from that historic event in American politics.

In Montana a core group of activists have had their hands full simply maintaining the most rudimentary elements of a Green political party. Some great people remained on board, some have moved on, or away from politics altogether. Losses have been replaced with a new group of Greens with new ideas for how to put Montana on a better path than the one we're on.

Comments on Fiscal Organization

This summer is illustrating a need for an organized party strategy within the state of Montana. Allow me to explain. At present the Montana Green Party is running on a zero dollar budget with no evident plan for getting the signatures we need to regain ballot access. If we had collected some funding three months ago we could have taken advantage of the opportunity to make a presence at each of the major fairs within the summer by renting booths in the expo centers. Due to a lack of foresight and a greater lack of planning we have missed this fantastic opportunity.

Overview; Green Party (US) National Meeting, 2007

| | | | | |

This year’s meeting opened with the unanimous approval for the ascension of the Mountain Party of West Virginia into the GPUS. Following this vote was a wrangling over procedure mostly initiated by the delegates from the state of California that would characterize the proceedings of this years meeting. With the plenary agenda behind schedule due to various objections to the agenda the delegates then heard from various speakers representing several international green parties including Brazil and Austria.
