Let's quit being so damned selfish and admit it; all those warm and fuzzy human services we are begging for are much too expensive.

The United States of America – and indeed the world – are currently experiencing one of the greatest financial recessions the capitalist age has witnessed. Estimates ranging from systemic failure to bump in the road have described this crisis. Countries and markets around the world are attempting to prevent or alleviate this crisis through such measures as tax cuts, public works, corporate welfare, and political restructuring.
